What's going on

Albany's annual downtown holiday lighting is scheduled for the Friday following Thanksgiving. Join us for a chili supper, children's activities, a lighted holiday parade, shopping, and Santa's arrival. 

Schedule

1-5 pm

• Gingerbread House drop off at Senior Center*

4:00 pm

• AMSHS Drama Club Production of Believe! at High School

5:30 pm

• Friends of the Library Reading of the Memorial Tree

• Lighted Christmas Parade entries assemble on N Polk St*

• Athens Lodge Chili Supper at Senior Center

• Hayride - sponsored by Albany FFA

• Bake Sale - AHS Cheerleaders to Orlando

• Family photos, hot drinks, cookies - First Interstate Bank

• Santa's Workshop in Albany Woodworking - sponsored by BTC Bank

• Gingerbread House judging at Senior Center (bring spare change to vote - proceeds will be donated to the Albany Animal Shelter)

• Sweet treat food truck with deep fried Oreos & funnel cakes

• Other activities & booths around the square

6:00 pm

• Lighted Christmas Parade, Santa's arrival

6:20 pm

• Downtown Lighting with VEG coloring contest winner

6:30 pm

• Meet Santa inside the Courthouse

*No registration required for the Gingerbread House Contest or Lighted Christmas Parade—just show up!
