Mission
Main Street Albany is an engaged community partner that imagines a downtown dedicated to historic preservation and improvement of the physical, economic and social structure of our downtown area.
Vision
As a valued partner in the community, Main Street Albany will celebrate our history and culture, promote economic advancement, and preserve downtown architecture for future generations.
In late 2019 the Albany Community Development Corporation was selected by the Missouri Main Street Connection to participate in a cost-sharing Community Empowerment Grant with the vision and goal to support our downtown courthouse square and help revitalize the surrounding business district. Over two years of training and support, Main Street Albany formed a stand-alone 501(c)(3) organization and graduated to an Affiliate Missouri Main Street Community in 2022.
